MR. BENJAMIN WENZEL

LICENSED MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST

Benjamin Wenzel, LMFT, is a licensed marriage and family therapist. He is a graduate of the clinical psychology master's program at Wheaton College (2012) and is currently a doctoral student in clinical psychology at Wheaton College.

Ben has been in clinical practice since 2013, and his specialty areas include working with couples, families, and adults. Consistent with his relational focus, he has completed the first phase of training at the Gottman Institute, emphasizing relational engagement.

In addition to empirically-informed relational approaches, Mr. Wenzel employs aspects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in his work with clients. He specifically works to increase radical acceptance of emotions and thoughts, clarifying values to be able to live consistently with those values, and being present in the moment to help decrease emotional pain and increase psychological well-being.
